Engraving Department & Assembling Room : record book, 1920-1922.

Handwritten record of sales, products and engraving orders. Include customer names, locations, product descriptions and prices. Many of the center pages are stamped with sample type faces, each labelled with a product code. The first 9 pages have been used as a scrapbook. Pasted over the records are several Bedtime stories by Thornton W. Burgess. This was a syndicated daily newspaper column that ran from 1912 to 1960. The stories in the record book date from 1927 to 1929.

The company expanded to include industrial marking machines used in manufacturing operations, the garment industry and industrial printing.
